Healthcare at what cost?

Editor’s note: $1 trillion dollars for what? We have no idea what the trillion dollars is paying for in health care. How many of the uninsured get covered? How comprehensive is the benefit plan design? What are the premiums people will pay? How much will come out of the pocket of taxpayers? Does coverage for 97% of Americans mean a total government plan? Who are the other 3%?

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said a legislative slate of health reform proposals has been priced under $1 trillion and would cover 97% of Americans. The pronouncement could help clear the way for a bipartisan reform agreement.
