Hospital Quality

Hospitals participating in the American College of Surgeons’ National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) have shown the following improvements:
  • 82% of participating hospitals have seen improvement in morbidity
  • 66% of participating hospitals have seen improvement in mortality rates
  • An 11% to 17% improvement in these measures annually
  • Prevention of 262-524 complications per hospital, per year
