Health Care: Salt impact on Health

Reducing salt intake could lower heart risks, costs
Adhering to the recommended salt intake of 2,300 mg a day would reduce cases of high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke, and could save up to $18 billion in health care costs, a study found. Reading food labels and choosing lower-sodium alternatives are also good ways to keep sodium intake down, the researchers said. Reuters (9/9)
