Physician Shortages and Wait Times

Mass. has growing physician shortage, longer wait times
The wait time to see a physician in Massachusetts is increasing along with the shortage of providers, particularly in primary care, internal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology, according to data from the Massachusetts Medical Society. Many providers are not accepting new patients, and those who do get an appointment are waiting about 44 days, the report said. Boston Herald (9/15)
