Study: Generic-drug combo wards off heart attack, stroke
A combination of cholesterol drug lovastatin, blood pressure treatment lisinopril and low-dose aspirin reduced the chance of heart attack and stroke by as much as 80% in high-risk patients, a study shows. The findings indicate that people do not need to take expensive, brand-name treatments to prevent heart attack or stroke, researchers said. Reuters
