Emergency Room Wait Times

A recent study of Emergency Department (ED) wait times using 2006 data found:
  • 30.5% of EDs got 90% of patients in to see a doctor within expected time frames.
  • 13.8 % of EDs hit their triage goal of getting 90% of patients who needed to see a doctor within one hour, to do so.
  • 24.5% of EDs got 90% of patients who needed inpatient care admitted within four hours.
