Physician Reimbursement

Editor’s note: The Senate must now pass a bill, there needs to be a conference committee AND it has to be done and signed into law by year end. Otherwise physician reimbursements will decrease and the AMA will torpedo any health care reform.

The House voted 243-183 to approve legislation that seeks to reform the way Medicare pays physicians, preventing a scheduled 21.2% rate decrease set to take effect next year.
