Researchers offer model for monitoring drug safety
Researchers proposed a public database that would provide drug information for sequential cumulative analysis by scientists and could speed up postmarketing surveillance of drugs. Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said the idea would need scrutiny and action from Congress. The New York Times (free registration)
