Primary care doctors switch to boutique practice model
More U.S. primary care physicians are switching to concierge or boutique practices, charging patients annual fees that can range from $1,500 to $10,000 or more. Physicians and patients like the model because it allows them more time to spend together during appointments, but critics say it creates access problems for people who can’t afford the fees. The Washington Post/The Associated Press (1/12)
