Low-carb diet may have blood pressure benefits

In a study that compares a low-carbohydrate diet with a low-fat diet plus the weight-loss drug orlistat, both led to weight loss, but the low-carb diet was more effective at lowering blood pressure. Both groups saw improvements in their HDL cholesterol readings. HealthDay News(1/25
